Darran Solan is a recent Fine Art Graduate who specialises in painting, sketch and illustrative work. His influences range from old masters such as Van Gogh and Picasso to more recent pop artists. The paintings he produces often include imagery within popular culture which can be anything from portraits to landscapes and architecture to animals. With an emphasis on aesthetic value over and above the kind of contextualization that might impress some "art-critics", his work is pure, contemporary and relative to public interests.
